Tanks on Tarawa

Charlie Company's tanks reused by the 2nd Separate Tank Company at Eniwetok, 1944.

After Tarawa, most of Medium tanks used by Company C were sent to Maui, Hawaii where they were repaired and painted over.
No additional armor were welded, perhaps by lack of time but wadding stacks equipped all M4A2s.
Tanks were sent back into operation for the invasion of Eniwetok atoll, Marshall Islands, by the 22nd Marines.
Tanks were used by the 2nd Separate Tank Company on the atoll in February 1944.
